Lion on Mountain

As our last show for 2012, we are Ifficially ushering in the rising of all Jah children into the new era of love with this extra special edition.  With many unknowns for this new era, one thing we do know is that this is the time to push all of our insecurities aside and truly live up to our highest of heights.  Time is speeding up and the wind is at our backs to make all the positive changes in our lives that we have always dreamed of.  As Mahatma Gandhi said, “be the change you wish to see in the world”.  Jah created I & I people for a reason – NOW is the time to follow our hearts and find out our real purposes in life.  At the same time, we must hold firm in our faith of the the Most High Creator and be prepared to see more change than we ever imagined and know that all is according to the will of the Universal Creator of the Universe.
I would like to extend my love and thanks to the entire Jah Works Radio family for all the support through the years.  It’s been an incredible journey so far and I look forward to many years to come and a growing family worldwide.  My wife and I will be in Peru through mid January visiting our familia there, but I will be back on air soon after we return.  For now, massive, hold this one very special.  Pure heartical and uplifting vibes run things for nearly 3 hours here, and we even have a surprise special guest.  From this time until that time, I wish everyone the best and infinite blessings from our beloved Creator.

We get started this week running some tunes from the mid 2000s, starting with I Wayne, Luciano and Richie Spice on the Hard Times Riddim, Daweh Congo, Luciano and Josey Wales, Jr Kelly, Jah Mason, Capleton and Anthony Red Rose.  Next up we check out some new tunes from Jr Holt, Gyptian, Anuhea and Tarrus Riley, Etana, Beres Hammond, Djama Keita, Sizzla, Gappy Ranks, Pressure and Winstrong.  Following a roots and early dancehall set featuring artists like Dennis Brown, Freddie McGregor, Boom Back and The Viceroys, we get into what ended up being the most crucial set, in my opinion, of the night.  This next set had a serious spiritual vibe, and started with The Wailer’s beautiful “Hallelujah Time” with Bunny Wailer on lead vocals and forwarded with Garnett Silk, Cocoa Tea, Sanchez, Beres Hammond and Samantha Strachan, Bingiman, Kehv, Yvad, Duane Stephenson and more.  UPFUL vibes this week – not to be missed.  One love to the family…

We are blessed to have Etana join us as our special guest this week.  We kick start the show with a roots set, with tunes from Rico Rodriguez, The Mighty Diamonds, Barry Brown, Leroy Smart, a double play from the Maytones, Pancho Alphonso and Israel Vibrations.  Next up we check out some new music from Prezident Brown, Djama Keita, Jah Defender, Queen Omega and Fyakin, Jah Van I, Jamelody, U Roy and Bitty McLean and Troy Anthony.  Soon after this, we catch up with the unbelievably talented and heartical Etana for an interview.  We discuss her beginnings in music, her spiritual inspirations through her life, her new EP “Reggae” and also her upcoming album titled “Better Tomorrow”, due out in February.  After the interview, we take a listen to the title track from this upcoming album and her big tune “Blessing”, alongside Alborosie.  Other artists featured on the show this week include Avion Blackman, Queen Ifrica, Hezron, Sadiki, Mikey Spice, Glen Washington, Hugh Griffith, JD Smoothe, Bitty McLean, Horace Andy, Culture, Bob Marley and the Wailers and much more.
